Located in beautiful Durango, Colorado, Open Sky Wilderness Therapy is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our high performance team. Open Sky assists teens, young adults, and families struggling with difficult challenges and life circumstances. This is a full-time, year-round position that works with Chief Marketing and Administrative Officer and Finance Director to provide timely and comprehensive service for company HR needs. Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures that are aligned with department and company goals and strategy. Responsible for executing and ensuring compliance of Company policies and benefits and for promoting the growth. Maintains and enhances Open Sky's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university in Human Resources Management or closely related field, and a minimum of 5 years experience as an HR Manager/Business Partner/Administrator; or equivalent combination of education and experience on a year for year basis. A minimum of 2 years demonstrated leadership/personnel management experience. Candidates with PHR/SPHR or SHRM – CP/SHRM – SCP highly desirable. Strong persuasion and negotiations skills and experience. Effective verbal and written communication skills are a must, as are excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previous experience with HRIS system and Salesforce.com a plus.
