Description:  Responsible for working independently or with limited supervision to perform broad environmental tasks of complex scope within one or more disciplines: Clean Water Act (CWA); reclamation/remediation activities; National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and/or Endangered Species Act (ESA).  Responsibilities include permit-required submittals and modifications, writing environmental specifications and plans, auditing, and field work.

Required Skills:  Master’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, Physical Science, Engineering or related discipline and three years’ work experience in environmental health and safety, one year of which must be in the oil, gas, or energy industry, and one year of which environmental work has been performed. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Biological Science, Physical Science, Engineering or related discipline and five (5) years’ work experience in environmental health and safety, two (2) years of which must be in the oil, gas or energy industry, and two (2) years of which environmental work has been performed.  Understands and can interpret major regulatory programs and explain their purpose (i.e., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NEPA, ESA) and impact to the Growth Fund and Growth Fund Companies.  Must have experience with environmental permit interpretation, compliance, and reporting.  Must have working knowledge of Storm Water Pollution Prevention programs, and environmental remediation and reclamation.  Must have experience with environmental training development and delivery.  Must have computer-based data management and analysis skills in order to assist in developing and establishing EHS database systems for tracking environmental data, compliance related permits, documents, monitoring reports, audits.  Must have good organizational skills and be capable of maintaining data in digital and hard file formats.  Must be willing to assist others, learn new skills, and participate in a productive team-oriented environment.  Must have working knowledge of Federal and State environmental rules and regulations.  Must have experience in computer software programs within the Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.  Must have valid driver’s license for state of residency and be insurable under the Growth Fund vehicle insurance policy.  Must pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check.
