Strater Hotel

Established in 1887, the historic Strater Hotel is one of the West's most recognizable historic landmarks.  Owned and operated for over 90 years and three generations by the Barker family,  the hotel has been recognized internationally for its top quality hospitality, historically renovated guest rooms, excellent food and beverage and regular entertainment.   This hotel is also a museum and has the largest collection of American Victorian Walnut antiques under one roof.  There are numerous shadowbox displays throughout the hotel that show items representing the history of Durango and the frontier west.
